Rev. Dr. Luther Oconer will become bishop of the Trinity Annual Conference at the beginning of November, following the retirement of Bishop Scott Jones. Oconor was elected by the General Conference Sept. 2 to lead Episcopal Area 1, which includes Trinity and six other annual conferences: Tanzania, Covenant Philippines, India, Mega Manila Philippines, Panama and Mississippi-West Tenessee.

Dr. Oconor is originally from the Philippines and has served the church both there and in the United States. You can read his biography here.

Several months ago our Conference Superintendent, Rev. Jason Burnham, interviewed Dr. Oconor on the Voices of Trinity podcast. You can see it on YouTube here.
